BON IVER RETURNS WITH A MAJESTIC AND AVANT-GARDE THIRD ALBUM AND ONCE AGAIN CONFIRMS THAT IT IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT BANDS OF ITS GENERATION. The ten tracks of 22, A MILLION reveal themselves as a collection of sacred moments, love suffering, and ultimately salvation, intertwining intense memories and revealing signs for everything that seemed to be mere coincidences. While with his previous album Bon Iver had built a capsule rooted in physical spaces, with 22, A MILLION he learns to turn away from any material attachment. The bulk of the album was recorded and produced at April Base Studio in Fall Creek (Wisconsin). Some tracks were recorded in London, and others near Lisbon, by Justin Vernon and his closest friends, whether they are long-time partners or new collaborators.
