Through a series of original pieces and melodies borrowed from the worlds of various Scandinavian composers, the Bobo Stenson Trio demonstrates particularly impressive cohesion and alchemy on this new album.
Here, the diverse influences that have forged the unique style of the Swedish pianist over his years of collaboration with ECM and Manfred Eicher are brought together. Anders Jormin on double bass and Jon Fält on drums, who have accompanied the leader since the album 'Cantando' released in 2008, are more than ideal musical partners for Bobo, as they highlight the infinite delicacy of his touch and his insatiable appetite for interaction.
