The new studio album from the Swedish masters of Extreme Metal, fusing the best of Death & Black Metal in a malevolent torrent of Blasphemy. Bloodbath is a Death Metal titan hailing from Stockholm, Sweden. Known for featuring members of Katatonia and Opeth in its lineup, and more recently Nick Holmes of the iconic Paradise Lost. Formed in 1998 with a mutual fascination for horror and classic Death Metal bands such as Entombed, Morbid Angel, Cancer, or Autopsy, Bloodbath has remained a leader in extreme metal since the release of their EP 'Breeding Death' in 2000 and has been a formidable force for over 15 years. Their position was further strengthened by their devastating previous opus 'Grand Morbid Funeral' (2014). This new chapter is, in itself, a true Master-Class of vicious and punishing Death Metal! With 'The Arrow Of Satan', Bloodbath explores the limits of the extreme, incorporating the best of Death, Thrash, and Black Metal to create a true storm of chaos, delivered with the same fierce buzzsaw sound and relentless riff assaults. A sound totally mastered over the years, combined once again with themes of the occult and pure horror. On the track 'Bloodicide', Jeff Walker (Carcass), John Walker (Cancer), and Karl Willetts (Bolt Thrower), three legends of English Death Metal, form an unprecedented unholy choir that will awaken the most malevolent spirits! The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Ghost Ward, City Of Glass, and Tri-Lamb Studios by Karl Daniel Linden. This will be the second opus with Nick Holmes (PARADISE LOST) on vocals. The combo welcomes a new guitarist, Joakim Karlsson from the cult Swedish band Black Craft. The artwork was created by artist Eliran Kantor (Testament, Sodom), a subtle work that accentuates the underlying evil of the title, created as a message of provocation and imminent threat.
