Causes perdues et musiques tropicales

Description

François Mitterrand once received a few artists, including Bernard Lavilliers. When the president asked him what he was working on at the moment, Lavilliers replied: "As usual, I'm singing about lost causes to tropical music." A few years later, in 2010, this became the obvious title of an album full of anger, solidarity, and loyalty... From the opening track, the great Bonga shares 'Angola' with him, a reunion of two artists who have known each other since the 70s and a meditation on the good old days. Bonga also co-wrote the music for 'L’Exilé', a portrait of those fighters for a thousand freedoms who raised their fists in Paris. Then he delivers 'Identité nationale', a timely song that remains relevant, in which he rages with eloquence. The eloquence of an artist, precisely: Lavilliers offers a world tour where suffering is danced to and rebellion sways. Discover Lavilliers' fraternal and poetic adventure on this vinyl reissue.
