Baloji is a Belgian multidisciplinary artist of Congolese origin. He directed his first feature film, *Omen*, selected at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023, where he was awarded the prestigious New Voice prize in the Un Certain Regard selection. The film captivated audiences worldwide, winning a series of awards at international film festivals, was in the running for a César in the "Best Foreign Film" category, and broke the record with thirteen nominations at the Magritte Awards.
*Omen*, an ensemble film, tells the story of four characters considered witches and sorcerers in a phantasmagorical Africa. The original soundtrack features four musical chapters written and composed from the perspective of the film's protagonists: Koffi, Paco, Tshala, and Mujila, thus enriching each character's narrative and offering a unique and powerful musical work in its own right.
