For those who missed the start, or rather, the Baby Metal fever, this is a kawaii Japanese metal band with nearly a million followers on Spotify. Their music is a fusion of J-Pop and Heavy Metal. The band, who should have been performing at HellFest2020, is a concentrated dose of the most extravagant offerings from Japan. Their career began in 2011 when the average age of the band members was only... 11 years old! Canada (where they shared the stage with Metallica and Slayer), the United Kingdom (Reading and Leeds festivals, opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers), Germany, the United States: their success is not limited to Japan's borders. In 2019, Babymetal became the first Asian band to top the rock charts according to Billboard magazine. Last August 5th, the band announced its hiatus. This album is a recording of their concerts at Budokan earlier this year.
