Chicago vocalist and pianist Audrey Morris (1928-2018) specialized in jazz ballads. Bistro Ballads (1955) is her first album, and one of only two LPs she would record in her youth. After recording the two aforementioned albums, Morris would not record anything else until 1985! Bistro Ballads features Morris on vocals and piano, accompanied by the famous Johnny Pate on bass and Charles Walton on drums.
