Cactus Boy

Description

After "Aquaplaning" and "Neoprene," Antonin Appaix returns, driven by a desire for creative abundance, freedom, and artistic collaborations with "Cactus Boy"! A new eight-track EP exploring themes such as love (Kawasakiss), trust (Bout de Verre), memory, and the absurd (The Wig), composed and produced spontaneously between Marseille and Sopot, Poland, during a residency at the studio of Tomasz Makowiecki, the "Polish Sébastien Tellier," who contributed some of the keyboard arrangements for the track "Abreuvoir." Cactus Boy is therefore the result of new artistic encounters, conceived as a spontaneous and rich interlude. It is no coincidence that the versatile Marseille rapper Jeune Lennon produced three tracks and featured on the single "Kawasakiss." Along with Buenos Aires-born singer Waralu, who appears on the groovy "Bout de Verre" with its perreo accents, they inject new momentum into this album, blending reggaeton, G-funk, and experimental pop. Through this album, Antonin Appaix ventures into the realm of dance and the strange, while continuing to explore his favorite themes of love, memory, and poetry.
