Leader for ten years of the alternative rock group AMPARANOÏA, AMPARO SANCHEZ began a solo career two years ago. Her first album Tucson-Habana received rave reviews from the public and critics. Today, she makes her return with Alma de Cantaora (literally "the soul of a singer") which plays more on the sensitive string and pure emotion. In the heart of the Catalan mountains, where she recharged with her family, inspiration burst forth and the first lines of this new album quickly appeared. A creative energy that AMPARO decides to share by multiplying collaborations. Among others, the Mexican shaman ABUELA MARGARITA who wrote the title track, the Cuban composer MANE FERRET, or the members of the group CALEXICO. Young Spanish artists are also part of the journey: La Flor de la Palabra, a duo with the Spanish rapper ARIANNA "ARI" PUELLO marks once again her commitment and social rooting. "I can't sing what I don't feel," explains AMPARO. This phrase, inspired by BILLIE HOLIDAY, gives all its meaning to this album, authentic, sincere, and deep.
