European Heartbreak focuses on the past, memory, and our tendency to fantasize about the events of our lives. When we actually examine our past, disillusionment is almost inevitable in the face of this shell of idealism. Tracks like 'Alpine Town', 'Oh My Love', 'Something's Gonna Take Your Love Away' and 'Goodnight Europe' perfectly evoke the committed themes of this second album.
