Thanks to a wave of renewed interest, The Almighty is reissuing their debut album Blood, Fire and Love via Silver Lining Music. The classic young, scruffy, and raw biker rock album is being released on colored vinyl at a previously unavailable 180g price point, and since the album has not been available on vinyl for a few years, old fans and new discoverers alike will have the chance to engage with the early passion-driven work of three Scottish school friends—singer/guitarist Ricky Warwick, drummer Stumpy Monroe, and bassist Floyd London. After forming The Almighty with guitarist Andy "Tantrum" McCafferty in 1988, Blood, Fire and Love was originally released in 1989, featuring tracks like the grebo-charged rocker "Destroyed," the road cruiser "Power," and the haunting, sorrowful, orchestral title track that marked The Almighty as a force in British hard rock. A lost early classic? Fortunately, no longer "lost."
