Allah-Las met while working together at one of the largest record stores in Los Angeles, but it was in an old Californian basement, nestled between sea and mountain, that they became a band. At the end of 2008, they began playing in Los Angeles, but it was only 3 years later that they recorded their 1st single, "Long Journey," a track featured on this 1st self-titled album produced by Nick Waterhouse, for whom Allah-Las are currently opening for in the U.S. The music of Allah-Las is a 60s West Coast pop with hypnotic guitar riffs, combined with a touch of Americana folk escaped from the desert, all sprinkled with a solid dose of wha wha, fuzz, and reverb...
