Following up on their incendiary single "Can The Sub Bass Speak?", released earlier this year, the Atlanta-based band Algiers is set to make a powerful return in 2020 with their third album, *There Is No Year*, on Matador Records. Produced by Randall Dunn (Sunn O))), Earth) and Ben Greenberg (Zs, Uniform), *There Is No Year* was recorded in NYC between 2017 and 2019 by childhood friends Franklin James Fisher, Ryan Mahan, Lee Tesche, and Matt Tong. Influenced by Bowie's Berlin period as well as Scott Walker's baroque and industrial visions, the album sits at the edge of post-punk and R'n'B, a synthetic offspring of Fever Ray and Marvin Gaye.
