Located in the parish of Saint Ann, the town of Nine Mile is the birthplace and resting place of reggae legend Bob Marley. His mausoleum attracts thousands of fans from all over the world every year, becoming a true place of pilgrimage. Nine Mile is also deeply connected to Rastafarian culture, which permeates the spirit of roots reggae: a peaceful way of life, an intimate connection with nature, and Afrocentric spirituality. It is in this atmosphere that Alborosie's new album is set, inspired by these roots, and notably carried by his personal tribute to Bob Marley: Trench Town Legend. The first single, Come My Way, revisits the classic King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown, iconic of roots reggae and dub.
