Silver Bleeds The Black Sun... - Vinyle Rose Coeur Blanc

Description

For over thirty years, AFI has cultivated the art of reinvention. With each album, the band refuses to settle into a comfort zone, preferring to evolve, sometimes radically, rather than resting on the laurels of an already accomplished career. This approach has both solidified their fanbase and challenged it, through a constantly shifting sonic identity. With *Silver Bleeds the Black Sun…*, the twelfth opus in their discography, the quartet opens a new chapter that is as audacious as it is unexpected – even for themselves. Rather than immediately diving into songwriting as is their custom, the members of AFI began this project with a simple question: how can we reinvent ourselves yet again? The process started with an exchange of ideas, far from their usual habits, until the first demos evoked the shadow of Echo & the Bunnymen. Gradually, a broader spectrum emerged: death rock, post-punk, Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. These youthful influences this time served as the foundation for a deliberately atmospheric and cohesive aesthetic. Between dark dreaminess, gothic grandeur, and post-punk tension, *Silver Bleeds the Black Sun…* sounds like a sublime return to their roots, both lyrical and abrasive. A work in AFI's image: elusive, elegant, and always ready to blur the lines. More than just an album, it's a bold reinterpretation of their musical DNA. Pink and white vinyl edition exclusive to independent record stores.
