Lausanne-based band Abraham emerged from Switzerland's flourishing underground music scene of the past decade. Over the course of their 11-year existence and European tours supporting Cult Of Luna and The Ocean, the band has forged a reputation as a leading post-metal band in Europe. "Debris De Mondes Perdus" sounds "big" and epic, but also primitive, raw, abrasive, vile, and painful. Like a horde of starved heathens slaughtering a wounded animal: "It is much more brutal and significantly less baroque than our previous efforts," the band confirms, "while maintaining an overall sense of unease." Abraham's vocal approach has always been characterized by drummer Dave Schlagmeister's unique and desperate vocals, emerging from the grey mist between painful melodic bellows and piercing screams... and even more so on this new album, where he is now the sole vocalist.
