Born in Beykoz in 1941, singer/guitarist "BABA" ERKIN KORAY was one of the first to infuse Turkish traditional music, such as Anatolian folk, with psychedelia and rock rhythms. The instigator of the "arabesque" movement appeared in Fatih Akin's 2005 film, *Crossing The Bridge - The Sound Of Istanbul*. A fertile imagination led him to blend electronic effects, Turkish percussion and baglama, along with a dazzling guitar performance, guiding listeners to unknown shores.
