L'Oiseau de Feu is a very original creation where traditional Iranian music and baroque viola intersect, mystical writings of Christianity and Sufi Islam. Where Sainte Colombe and Marin Marais, the masters of baroque music, accompany Djallaleddin Roumi and Saint Francis of Assisi, where the crystalline sounds of the santour, the incandescent flights of the singing, and the learned percussions of the zarb and the daf punctuate the sublime texts of Saint Augustine, Mansour Hallaj, Kabir, Meister Eckhart, or Emir Abdel Qader.... A journey to the heart of ancient spiritual traditions, carried by master musicians.
