For Ventre de Biche's fourth album, Luca, alongside numerous influences, clearly outlines his core inspirations: noir novels and botched destinies, a love for punchline rap since his school days, and the magnificent French 70s soundtracks by Vanier or De Roubaix. These 15 tracks illustrate what the serialized story of an enlightened loser could be. At Teenage Menopause, we cherish long collaborations. Friendships that produce surprising results, unexpected journeys: those that break down barriers and take protagonists far from their comfort zones. Speaking of zones, Luca knows all about them. With Ventre de Biche, he has been singing and illustrating it for some time now, and after three albums together, it was important to offer a big thank you to the zone itself. And what better way than with a good slice of (shitty) life? There are 300 grams left, shall I bag them for you? This album will be illustrated with a serial, in 6 episodes! But then again, Ventre de Biche's tracks are true vignettes, and if Tati highlighted modernity that arrived too quickly, here, we would rather invite Jean Patrick Manchette or André Héléna for lunch on the oilcloth. These writers praised magnificent losers, choices and non-choices, which inevitably lead to the wall at the end of the tunnel. This wall that approaches and reveals only a dead end. Luca produces and writes better, more precisely, sharp and acerbic.
