After a self-titled debut album released in 2011 and months of touring in the United States, the trio decided to return to Brooklyn to lock themselves away in the Mexican Summer studios, recording this new album with the help of Jarvis Taveniere (Woods). There they tell their stories and memories from the road, inviting friends to play saxophone and violin. Held In Splendor is then built by many hands, crafting bold pop made of cascading harmonies, punchy rhythms and ticklish guitars. “A delicate record like the Paisley Underground gems of old, to be listened to while sipping darjeeling tea.” Rock & Folk
