Trunk Records once again offers us a sublime 80s new age synthwave album by an artist and a record label still unknown to the general public. “My first encounter with Peter Patzer took place while writing and researching the updated and expanded version of The Music Library Book, published by Fuel. The first book, titled The Music Library, was the very first overview of library music and the sometimes surprising graphic illustrations on their sleeves. First published in 2005, it featured around 400 sleeves and some 120 record labels. The expanded edition of The Music Library came out in 2015. It was still a strange and ancient world, wrapped in historical mystery — even Internet had not yet caught up. I kept discovering rare records, curiosities, and then I finally found Peter Patzer. German. Hidden away in a dark corner. Alone. Peter was atypical: artist and musician, he composed his own music and released it on his own label, Crea Music, based in Bremen. Through a series of eight white vinyl records produced in the 1980s, Peter Patzer created synthesizer-based experiments intended for film, television, video, and any other project. All his vinyl records had... The same simple red, white and blue sleeve, with a printed name and number. Across his eight albums, Peter explores uncharted musical territories, creates post-disco funk, travels to Las Vegas, delves into geology, and much more. This is a compilation of tracks taken from these eight albums.
