After 2019's Signal, Automatic are back with their sophomore album: Excess! Excess distils themes of 70s and 80s corporate excess, dystopian sci-fi, and climate change into 10 new tracks. The icy, industrial atmospheres of their debut ‘Signal’ remain, but Excess sees the band broaden their scope, adding driving pop sensibilities into their sound. The result is a tighter, more propulsive Automatic: dance music for the end of times.
