'Simplement Sheller' is simply the greatest titles from William Sheller’s repertoire, revisited in piano-vocal versions by all those who consider him the great couturier of melody and one of the most sophisticated songwriters in French chanson. From Calogero to Zaho de Sagazan, from Eddy de Pretto to Alex Beaupain or Jeanne Cherhal, 17 of them follow in Sheller’s footsteps, who had himself stripped his songs of their arrangements with the cult album 'Sheller ensolitaire', in 1991, which sold 750,000 copies. Versions that are both respectful and reinvented, which shine a spotlight once again on a discreet genius with colossal influence, and on a man whom this tribute made happy.
