Without makeup or muzzle, the Thugs move from the most abrupt noisy-punk (Poison heart or The Letter) to havens of peace in half-tones (Loving son or Waiting) with the natural ease of winners. If the substance embraces new, more mature, more open directions, the form, on the other hand, curls up around its rawest accents. — Jean-Luc Manet / Les Inrockuptibles, 1995.
