"His music is poetry - few other composers are capable of triggering such powerful associations in me as Robert Schumann," writes Kian Soltani in his own liner notes for his highly anticipated album entirely devoted to Schumann. With the Camerata Salzburg, the young cellist plays and conducts simultaneously the monumental Cello Concerto, as well as melodies with orchestra. The album also includes a few transcriptions of Soltani's favorite lieder, accompanied by pianist Julien Quentin.
