Most jazz albums are recorded in a studio. This one came to life in a French castle surrounded by vineyards, a unique setting with perfect acoustics. It was there that, for the first time, Iiro Rantala, Morten Lund and Kaisa Mäensivu came together, giving new life to the Great American Songbook in an atmosphere that is both rich and inspiring. Alongside the American standards are two French songs, chosen by producer Andreas Brandis: Hymne à l'Amour and the lullaby Fais dodo, Colas mon p'tit frère, which bring an intimate and unique touch to the album.
