Refractions serves both as a celebration of the band’s early days and a bold reinvention of that legacy, featuring the band’s touring lineup – Yuko Araki, Yumiko Ohno of Buffalo Daughter, and Kurrock – on studio recordings for the first time. The album offers fresh interpretations of Cornelius classics, alongside brand-new songs and unreleased tracks, creating a seamless bridge between past and present. By revisiting iconic works with the energy of the current live band, Refractions turns nostalgia into renewal, capturing the enduring creativity and avant-garde spirit of Cornelius.
