The Brook & The Bluff return to their rock & roll roots with Werewolf. Heavily inspired by the band’s live show, it’s a transformative album that sees the road warriors turn up their amplifiers, speed up their tempo, and howl at the moon in four-part harmony. The result is both energizing and electrifying — a record driven by the sharp songwriting and layered vocal arrangements that have already earned the band more than 200 million streams, but also saturated with the powerhouse sound of their concerts. After years of relentless touring, The Brook & The Bluff took a break from the road and wrote Werewolf at home in Nashville. Outside their rehearsal space, everyday life kept unfolding. One band member was preparing for his wedding. Another went through a divorce. For several hours each weekday, however, the four friends shut themselves off from the world and focused solely on the music, channeling the Southern sounds of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tom Petty, Eagles, Little Feat, and other rock classics into new songs full of melody, strength, and personal introspection. Recorded during a series of studio concerts, Werewolf is the sound of a reinvigorated rock band, fueled by rediscovery, amplification, and a decade of brotherhood.
