After an intimate and acoustic tour to celebrate his 10-year career, having lent his pen to some beautiful popular hits (Zaz, Frero DeLaVega, Claudio Capéo), Barcella unveils ‘Mariposa’, his 5th album, undoubtedly the most... intimate, raw. While his playfulness and delicacy remain, the overall tone is tinged with a kind of smiling melancholy. - - His tender words are dressed in sensitive strings and are ‘enriched’ with precise and demanding contemporary sounds. He draws us into his imaginary territories where poetry reigns, bathed in winds and lights. There, we find the sun above the clouds. - - Mariposa means butterfly in Spanish, ‘because a butterfly is reborn. A whole symbol!’ It is also the surname of the heroine of his first novel, published two years ago, which offered him another way to write his songs, to ‘knit and unknit the French language’ so that they become even more ours. - - - - - This sensitive poet excels on stage and delivers one of the most beautiful albums of the year (Le Parisien).
