Il y a eu la douzaine de E.P.'s et 45 tours depuis les années 60, the work in the shadows for other singers, then two albums, and finally the solitary single “Gaby”, which brought him to the attention of the general public. To follow, Alain Bashung records “Pizza” in London, and consolidates his success with “Vertige de l'amour”,“Elle s'fait rougir toute seule” and other lexical fantasies signed Boris Bergman. It is however with “Pizza” that the very rock line of the Bashung we will know later takes shape more clearly, a rock at once steeped in references and never academic. The rest of Bashung's career will be exemplary.
