Zinée's highly anticipated debut album "l'enfant du Sud" is a blend of emotion and powerful performance! Two years after breaking into the public eye with her EP Cobalt and her connection to the 75e Session collective and its circle, Zinée returns with Osmin, a much-anticipated project, sculpted from memories and a quest for serenity. Her distinctive voice transforms, at times, into raw rap verses and, at others, into melancholic melodies. The project explores the difficult balance between strength and fragility; it is an ode to determination in the face of life's challenges that punctuate her life and music. While she usually moved quickly through stages, this time she had to pause, reflect, and return stronger, both artistically and personally. Music as therapy is often a cliché, but here, it is a reality that gives Osmin another inner dimension, as illustrated by tracks like Erosion or the poignant Baleines, sensitive and on the edge, where her whispered voice becomes powerful through the message it conveys. "L'enfant du Sud" answered the call of her roots: this album was entirely composed and recorded at her home in the Occitan countryside, amidst memories and isolation, with producer Sheldon as the only other architect, and a few inspired forays by Chilly Gonzales on piano.
