To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the remixed reissue of their legendary debut album, *The Fabulous Sounds of the Pacific Northwest*, the Young Fresh Fellows took a break from their busy tour to head to Wilco's The Loft studio in Chicago. They called on Grammy Award-winning Tom Schick to record 11 new tracks, then invited renowned friends to contribute to the album, including Neko Case (lead vocals on "Destination"), Wilco's John Stirratt (backing vocals), Morgan Fisher of Mott the Hoople (keyboards), Jonathan Segel of Camper Van Beethoven (violin), Jenny Conlee of The Decemberists (accordion, backing vocals), Mark Greenberg of Eleventh Dream Day (vibraphone), Peter Buck of R.E.M. (12-string guitar), and Dave "Max" Crawford of Poi Dog Pondering (trumpet). This polished version, Loft, has never been released before, and the cover art is a nostalgic nod to the 40th anniversary of YFF's second album, Topsy Turvy, released in November 1985.
