Following the 2012 EP Ghost, Cosmos captures a certain tension between intimacy and power by blending sharp guitar riffs, lush atmospheres, complex electronic effects, ethereal harmonies, and serious, troubling lyrics. Recorded by Beau Sorenson (Death Cab for Cutie, Superchunk, Sparklehorse) and mixed by Paul Kolderie (Radiohead, Pixies, Dinosaur Jr.), the album is influenced by early krautrock and 70s synth bands, and is filled with grooves and textures à la Neu!, Kluster, or Kraftwerk.
