Released in 2017, La Saboteuse is an album by Bahraini-British trumpeter Yazz Ahmed, which explores her roots with undulating rhythms and Middle Eastern melodies. It addresses self-doubt in creation, personified by a female figure who inspires her. After collaborating with Radiohead and exploring various electronic effects mixed with the sounds of her heritage, Yazz Ahmed modernizes jazz and joins a new wave of artists such as Kamasi Washington and Yussef Kamaal.
