Later, from Bach to Chopin, from Beethoven to Messiaen, all crafted melodies and invented harmonies in the moment, which sometimes became the matrix of their masterpieces. This is the path YARON HERMAN follows when he enters the studio to record ALMA. Without any preconceived scenario, he fully embraces a form of letting go, entirely listening to what the music has to tell him, opening doors to spaces still unknown to him. To improvise is to compose in real time. When one writes music, the initial gesture - what is sometimes called \"inspiration\" - is improvised. To compose is, in a way, to improvise with a pencil and an eraser. ALMA thus flows from a current that transcends music itself, finding its source in the imperative desire to \"always leave the door ajar to invite what must happen to occur.\" Building concise and skillfully structured pieces in this way, inventing melodies that develop following a logic defined in real time, is a process of infinite complexity. This requires an extraordinary capacity for invention and concentration, a sense of the present coupled with a (un)consciousness of the future without which no development is possible. Born in Tel Aviv in 1981, YARON HERMAN began playing piano at the age of 16, taught by OPHER BRAYER, whose method, based on a mathematical and philosophical approach, nourishes his approach to improvisation. In 2007, he was elected ADAMI Jazz talent. In 2008, he won a Victoire de la Musique du Jazz in the Best New Artist category. Yaron Herman has played in the greatest venues and festivals around the world.
