German violist Martin Stegner, master of the sheng (traditional Chinese harmonica) Wu Wei, and Finnish double bassist Janne Saksala form this decidedly cosmopolitan trio to perform selected pieces from the Renaissance and Baroque periods: Si dolce è'l tormento and Pur ti miro from Monteverdi's opera L'incoronazione di Poppea, J. S. Bach's Trio Sonatas for Organ No. 1 and 4, and Vivaldi's Trio Sonata in D minor - a Norwegian folk tune completes the program.
