This edition is different from the one included in 'The Sognametal Legacy' box set (now out of print).
On WINDIR’s fourth and final album, ‘Likferd’ (2003), many of the folk elements that characterized the band’s previous records were put aside in favor of a more pronounced black metal influence.
This last album, which Valfar wrote before his death and which disturbingly translates to “funeral,” marked a shift towards a much darker and gloomier atmosphere. While ‘Likferd’ is often overshadowed by ‘Arntor’ and ‘1184,’ it is an album that saw WINDIR mature and, for that reason, represents another important chapter in the band’s legacy.
