Willie Bobo was a Latin jazz percussionist from New York who recorded more than 20 albums between 1963 and 1979.During his jazz funk period in 1978, he recorded a version of "Always There" to rival the original 1975 version by Ronnie Laws. While the album and the 12" have already been reissued, this is the first time the 7" version gets a re-release. The B-side features the very popular "Comin' Over Me" with singer Errol Knowles, which had never been released on 7". Willie is the father of Eric Bobo from Cypress Hill.
