The genesis of Dulling The Horns dates back to the end of 2022, when Ross began working on new tracks during the soundchecks of the ILYSM tour. Last summer, Wild Pink decamped to western Massachusetts to reconnect with engineer Justin Pizzoferrato. Ross decided to record Dulling The Horns live in the room, aiming to capture Wild Pink's stage style—rawer, grittier. Gone are the shimmering atmospheres and studio affectations of Wild Pink's recent releases. Instead, Ross's voice is haggard against the wet distortion that coats every song. \"I wanted to make economical songs,\" Ross explains. \"Music that's really just three or four people rocking out.\" If Wild Pink once took cues from Springsteen and Petty, they have now entered their Crazy Horse era. On Dulling The Horns, you can hear him rediscovering the fire in real time. Tropes tossed to the roadside, songs drawn from the formative DNA of rock music, all filtered through years of messy fog. \"There's no answer to these problems,\" Ross says, having finally given in. But as for Dulling The Horns, there is at least one way forward: burn it all down and keep moving.","brand":"Wild Pink","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57324939379032,"sku":null,"price":20250228.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0634457204355.jpg?v=1779213228","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/wild-pink_dulling-the-horns_2025_disco-bertus-france_1","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
