The genesis of Dulling The Horns dates back to late 2022, when Ross began working on new tracks during the soundchecks of the ILYSM tour. Last summer, Wild Pink settled in western Massachusetts to reconnect with sound engineer Justin Pizzoferrato. Ross decided to record Dulling The Horns live, in the same room, in order to capture the raw, gritty energy of Wild Pink on stage. Gone are the shimmering atmospheres and studio artifice of Wild Pink's recent albums. Now, Ross's raspy voice blends with the wet distortion that permeates every track. \"I wanted to make concise songs,\" explains Ross. \"Music that, at its core, is three or four musicians laying it down heavy.\" While Wild Pink was once inspired by Springsteen and Petty, the band has now entered its Crazy Horse era. On Dulling The Horns, you can feel them rediscovering the spark live. Snapshots abandoned by the roadside, songs drawn from rock's founding DNA, all filtered through years of thick fog. \"There's no solution to these problems,\" admits Ross, resigned. But for Dulling The Horns, there is at least one path forward: burn it all down and move ahead. The album was mixed by Alex Farrar in Asheville, North Carolina, and mastered by Greg Obis in Chicago, Illinois.","brand":"Wild Pink","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57317315576152,"sku":null,"price":20251212.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0634457236745.jpg?v=1779112296","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/wild-pink_dulling-the-horns_2025_disco-bertus-france","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
