{"product_id":"white-shape_through-the-lupinesky-blue-vinyl_2025_dif","title":"Through The Lupine\/Sky Blue Vinyl","description":"In 2016, White Shape released the EP 'White Shape', enriching an already burgeoning psychedelic movement that was quickly gaining momentum in the fertile grounds of the northern Illinois music scene. Unwilling to do or be anything within the confines, White Shape quickly grew as a self-manifested consciousness, creating palettes of sonic awareness through their subsequent studio albums. White Shape provided an outlet for those looking to explore the limits of what music can do for self-transcendence. And then, as with all things, times changed. For the first time in the modern era, all of humanity was reminded that we are all equal. Equal in our capacity to feel loss and pain, but also equal in our capacity to persevere. And in the balance of those scales, no one was spared from things undone. There were endings, conclusions to stories we didn't want to see end. But there were beginnings. This was the start of things. And more, there was the intrepid refusal to let things completely disappear. To persist, to change, to transcend. White Shape would emerge from this Charybdis not unscathed, but like Odysseus, having lost a few along the way. With the departure of two of the founding members, Josh Weidman and Alyssa Hall once again set sail to the wind and from the tumult of these incomparable times, they gave birth to their latest album, 'Through The Lupine'. This is decidedly White Shape, with its moody atmospheres, Hall's iconic voice floating and expanding to fill every physical space, and the classic narrative architecture that invites you to enter the music and with it create your own inner worlds. You can hear them in every track, and particularly in \"Draped Urns\". But as was said, no one came out of this period unscathed. In the quintessential sound of White Shape, there is something else, something new. You can hear it in the previous \"Knives Down\"; a change in barometric pressure, a sea change both profound and subtle. It is a challenge, a refusal to go quietly into that good night, but with undercurrents of something else, something not yet found in the band's earlier work. Is it optimism? hope? Or simply the resignation to create for creation's sake. The true value of 'Through The Lupine' is that it offers the listener the space to create their own interpretation. For White Shape fans, there is everything you love and want. There's just more. And it's different. It has evolved. For the initiated, there is the beginning. The introduction to the next understanding of what it means to experience music.","brand":"White Shape","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55307426693464,"sku":null,"price":20250418.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0689492225117_7ed0aee1-0abe-4f88-bd9a-78898de52912.jpg?v=1760302589","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/white-shape_through-the-lupinesky-blue-vinyl_2025_dif","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
