Australian producer What So Not is anything but regular. The venerable electronic artist returns today with an overflowing energy on “Anomaly”.
Inspired by global travel and exploring global sounds just before the COVID-19 pandemic, while consuming music from the likes of Lil Peep, Jammer, and Dutch electronic trio Noisia, "Anomaly" is a cohesive journey of far-flung adventures, self-discovery, and electronic magic. But among the alluring tunes, the album also aligns with What So Not’s commitment to important non-musical issues, with What So Not recently being announced as a finalist for the Environmental Music Prize. Ultimately, the immersive adventures abroad not only provided What So Not an opportunity to flex his creative muscles before returning home to create his recently announced full-length album; they also helped shape his ongoing commitment to raising awareness about issues he cares about.
