Westerman's third album, A Jackal's Wedding, is a testament to departure and arrival, to continuous transformation, and to the liminal spaces between shadows and the light that casts them. The collaboration with producer Marta Salogni (who mastered An Inbuilt Fault) has resulted in a more fluid and dreamlike work than Westerman's previous two albums. Recorded in a 17th-century mansion transformed into an artistic space on the island of Hydra, the album reflects the chaos and constraints of the location, and uses it as a true collaborator.
