Beth Orton has long been considered one of music’s most unique and expressive voices, one that has continued to deepen and grow in wisdom with time.
Weather Alive is Beth Orton’s first album in over six years and grew out of a lifetime’s worth of memories and experiences; stories that lean into a stream of consciousness, and which depict struggle, healing, and beauty. For the first time in her career, Beth recorded and produced the entirety of the album from her home studio in London. Weather Alive welcomes a supergroup of collaborators, including The Smile's Tom Skinner, jazz poet Alabaster dePlume, multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily and Mercury Prize nominee Tom Herbert. 2022 is truly set to be ‘The Year of Beth Orton’. Not only does Beth have a new album, but she’s also re-releasing 20th Anniversary Editions of her early albums: ‘Central Reservation’ and ‘Trailer Park’ (both via Sony Music), and she will feature on William Orbit’s new album which is due out later this year.
