Here is an exciting new project for the ears of a discerning fanbase... the 1st album of the We Are Bodies project featuring Robin Foster (a great solo success with the album "Peninsular" in 2013 and the award-winning soundtrack of "Metro Manila" at Sundance), and Dave Pen: singer and guitarist of Archive and Birdpen. For this production recorded in Brittany, mixed by Jim Spencer in Manchester and mastered by Franck Arkright at Abbey Road, the roles are well distributed: the music is mainly Robin's. The lyrics and vocals are Dave's. Inspired by some writings of George Orwell, Dave's prose is here skillfully wrapped in a sumptuous coat of new wave synths and powerful electric guitars. "We Are Bodies," the eponymous name of this work, is a pure reflection of modern society. Some tracks such as "Pressure Compressor," "We Are Bodies," and "Replicants" tell the inert monotony of a life made of unconscious conformity to what our planet is in the 21st century, an era of overconsumption, a world in which people wander like robots, unaware that they are being observed and that each of their actions is manipulated...
