The album's ironic title refers to the lineup, which includes fellow Houston natives pianist Jason Moran and drummer Eric Harland, while Virgin Islands-born bassist Reuben Rogers completes the quartet. Together, they animate 10 compelling originals by Smith and an imaginative interpretation of a Sam Rivers composition, all of which attest to Smith's ascending status as one of the most engaging modern jazz talents of his generation.
