Waldeck is proud to present "Grand Casino Hotel," his 6th studio album, which is by far his most cinematic. Over the past decade, Waldeck has often drawn inspiration from a particular musical genre or era, as perfectly illustrated by "Ballroom Stories" (released in 2007), considered one of the most influential Electro Swing albums. With "Gran Paradiso" (2016), he paid tribute to spaghetti westerns and Italian canzone, and more recently, with "Atlantic Ballroom" (2018), he immersed listeners in a detective fiction atmosphere with the smoky jazz flavors of the late 1960s. With "Grand Casino Hotel," Waldeck creates his American road movies, where one could just as easily encounter Wim Wenders and his Paris-Texas as David Lynch with Lost Highway.
