Live 1982

Description

After more than 40 years of absence, Void - Live 1982 resurfaces from the archives and immortalizes the most explosive and energetic band from Washington D.C. at its peak. The sound is as fresh and punchy as on the day of recording. Side A comes from the Wilson Center in April 1982, where they shared the bill with Minor Threat and The Faith. Recorded just a few months before the release of the legendary Faith/Void album, this record is packed with hardcore classics such as "Ignorant People" and "Who Are You?". Side B comes from a concert at the legendary 9:30 Club in Washington D.C., with Negative Approach, and blends hardcore gems like "Time To Die" and "Organized Sports" with more recent metal-tinged tracks, such as "Bloodlust", which would lay the groundwork for an entirely new genre. Professionally recorded by Tom Lyle of Government Issue, with photos by scene stalwart Jim Saah and artwork by Dischord's longtime graphic designer Jason Farrell, Void - Live 1982 is an incredible collection from one of the most influential bands from Washington D.C.
