BRUSSELS GROUP V.O. SHEDS ITS SKIN AN IMPRESSIONISTIC INDIE POP DEBUT ALBUM
After a period of silence, Brussels-based band V.O. is reborn and takes pleasure in returning under the name River Into Lake. At the helm of the project is Boris Gronemberger (former musician for Girls in Hawaii and Françoiz Breut), accompanied by his loyal companions who have consistently energized the current Belgian scene, on albums, but also in dance performances, theatre, and film scores. Between 2017 and 2018, they started writing new songs again and gathered in a house to record their new album Let The Beast Out. A magma of sounds and rhythms that gives pride of place to synthesizers and analog drum machines. A hymn to the beauty of life and the universe, which addresses current issues, freeing oneself from fears, moving forward. Formed over 15 years ago, the band released their first album Pictures in 2005 on the former Brussels label Matamore. This was followed by Obstacles in 2008 and On Rapids in 2012, an album produced in Chicago by John McEntire (Tortoise, The Sea and Cake).
