After his first two albums Glass and Bach, acclaimed and multiple award-winning by critics, the Icelandic pianist Vikingur Ólafsson returns to Deutsche Grammophon with a work dedicated to the two revolutionary French composers: Jean-Philippe Rameau and Claude Debussy. 'Debussy & Rameau' alternates the melodies of these two geniuses, from Debussy's compositions like 'La Fille aux cheveux de lin' to Rameau's harpsichord pieces from 1724 to 1741, thus creating a dialogue and an exciting alchemy between the two. Ólafsson's album concludes with an emotional sarabande that directly connects the two composers: L'Hommage à Rameau by Debussy, taken from the first series of 'Images'.
